Using GowaFun
Packs
Pick a tier, put in any amount, and get a random mix of GowaFun tokens. The picks come from a block that does not exist yet when you pay.
How a pack works
- You choose a tier and an amount of ETH (at least 0.0005 on testnet) and buy the pack.
- The contract records a reveal block two blocks in the future.
- After that block, the pack is opened. GowaFun opens it for you automatically, and anyone can open it.
- The seed is the reveal block’s hash, mixed with the pack ID and your address. It picks 3 to 5 tokens from the tier’s list and random weights.
- Your ETH buys those tokens through the launchpad and they are sent straight to your wallet.
Tiers
| Tier | Draws from |
|---|---|
| Rookie | Tokens launched in the last 24 hours |
| Street | Tokens on their curve with real trading |
| Highway | Tokens close to graduating |
| Graduate | Tokens that have graduated to a pool |
| Legend | The week’s top performers |
Each tier’s token list is updated by the GowaFun operator from market data. The list at the moment your pack opens is the one used.
Good to know
- Every pick is final. You can sell the tokens you receive like any others.
- Packs have no guaranteed value. You can receive tokens worth less than you paid.
- The 1% fee applies to each token your pack buys.
- If a pack is not opened within 256 blocks (about four minutes), it can be refunded in full.
How random is it?
Block hashes are unknown when you pay, so neither you nor GowaFun can pick the result. They are not perfect randomness: GIWA’s sequencer produces the blocks. Picks only decide which tokens are bought at market price, so we think this is a fair trade-off on testnet. Before mainnet we plan to move to a verifiable randomness service. Random-reward mechanics may be restricted where you live. Check your local rules before buying packs.
