Using GowaFun
NFT collections
Create an ERC-721 collection that people mint, or an ERC-404 collection that trades like any GowaFun token.

| What it is | A collection people mint | A token where every whole unit is an NFT |
| Supply | Fixed, or an open edition | Fixed: NFTs × tokens per NFT |
| How you get one | Mint at the creator’s price | Buy whole units on the curve or in the pool |
| Fee | 1% of every mint | 1% on every buy and sell |
| Royalty | Up to 10% (ERC-2981) | None |
Create a collection
- Open Create a collection and choose ERC-721 or ERC-404.
- Add a cover image and your artwork (up to 500 images), a name and a symbol.
- ERC-721: set the supply, price, per-wallet limit, start and end, royalty and an optional allowlist. ERC-404: set tokens per NFT and the number of NFTs (10 to 10,000), plus an optional first buy.
- Confirm in your wallet. You pay gas; creating a collection has no GowaFun fee.
Only upload art you own the rights to.
Minting (ERC-721)
- Fixed supply: token #1 gets the first image, #2 the second, and so on. Open edition: one image, unlimited mints until the end time.
- Allowlist phase (optional): listed wallets mint first, at their own price, until the allowlist ends. Then the public phase opens to everyone.
- The per-wallet limit counts mints across both phases.
- 1% of every mint goes to GowaFun fees. The rest goes to the creator.
- Royalties (up to 10%) are paid only by marketplaces that honour ERC-2981.
- The creator can edit metadata until it is frozen, change phases and royalties, and lower (never raise) the supply.
Trading (ERC-404)
- An ERC-404 collection launches on the GowaFun bonding curve and graduates to a GowaFun pool, like any token.
- Every whole unit you hold (the collection’s tokens per NFT) is one NFT in your wallet.
- Buying whole units mints NFTs to you. Selling or sending them away burns or moves NFTs.
- The supply is fixed at launch, so the number of NFTs can never go above it.
- Every buy and sell pays 1%.
When you sell part of your balance, you can lose a specific NFT you liked. Keep whole units if you want to keep an NFT.
Fees
NFT fees go to the same place as trading fees: 80% buys back and burns GOWA, 20% pays for infrastructure and operations. See GOWA.
Risks
NFTs can lose all value
Anyone can create a collection. GowaFun does not check the art, the creator or the rights to it. Only spend what you can afford to lose.
- GowaFun runs on GIWA Sepolia, a testnet. Test ETH and testnet NFTs have no value.
- Creators control their metadata until they freeze it, so images can change.
- Royalties are not enforced by marketplaces that ignore ERC-2981.
